I love Thanksgiving. I saw a cute tradition the other day though in a magazine. They had these adorable little napkin ties and place cards and the family picked 2 new ones every year and they made them together the day before and the morning of. I thought it was cute.

I liked the year we did the 20 questions... "how much do you really know about Thanksgiving". It was a fun history lesson. Fun for the younger kids too.

Don't really have November traditions but a fun one is to decorate gingerbread houses. It can get very interesting and creative.

Our family has a couple of Thanksgiving Traditions.. the first one that comes to mind is when all of our family member's take turns to say what they are thankful for.. It is kind of embarrassing for some but it really gives you a view into the teenagers minds. Some comments are funny and some can make you cry. The second tradition is going to an afternoon movie with the entire family. We dont go all together that often and it makes it really special. We usually see a Christmas comedy and that gets us excited for the Christmas holiday. The third tradition if you can call it a tradition is one that we share every Thanksgiving since Kennedy's birth. Chelsie's labor with Kennedy was induced 4 years ago on Thanksgiving night so we always talk about that great event in our lives... sorry to go on and on but I just thought I would share .....

One of my favorite traditions is the food we make at Thanksgiving. I've always loved your Mom's ribbon jello and my mom's cranberry crush. I have to admit I've only tried the ribbon jello on my own (and boy is it a pain!) but I hope to one day make them both a part of my Thanksgiving traditions with Scott.

Well Kerri, dang you really made me think. As you can tell by how long it has taken me to respond how much thinking I've had to do. K, at Thanksgiving my mom would have one of us light our tealight tell what we were thankful for and then light the next persons candle and so on. Christmas, let see of course what would Christmas be unless I stayed up all night wrapping. Ok as far as traditions, we all go to sleep in Christmas jammies, and only the gifts under the tree are the ones from relatives. Growing up we always looked forward to the Lifesaver book in our stockings. I know we must have more. I'll keep thinking!
